Happy 牛 Year..!!! It falls on January this year...rather rush, christmas & new year not long ago & now...is CNY liao....

ZR got a canon DSR as a 21st birthday which is in another week's time. She is acting like 1 "professional" photographer taking pic of us....

Another Gathering

Went for a "Si Nai" gathering with the multiplyers at Zhou Kitchen this afternoon...with such a big crowd we had to split tables...

Again, yakking away whole afternoon...& stuffed ourselves with dim sum..

Rushed to my cousin Chun Wei's 21st birthday celebration at his house. Then Ah Quek suggested bringing our gang of cousins to pub since the youngest "Di Di" has oredi passed 18yrs...(Legal Drinking age) hur hur hur...

Head to Villa Bali.....of cos we asked them to order cocktails in case they cannot take the strong liquor & concussed on the spot...whahaha....
Look at their expressions even ordering cocktails...some tasted good, some were..."erhm..."

Mandarin stay

Hmm.....its a 2nd nite stay to be utilised for our Wedding held in Jan08
Checked in 3pm this afternoon & very happy tat Wendy, my hotel coordinator gave me Bridal Suite stay with complimentary breakfast. I remembered she said was supposed to be a Deluxe room stay...
Besides that, I do have a memorable experience with Wendy Lou. She is exceptionally patient & accomadating to our request for our wedding held at MM. I m very pleased with their service. When we did our pre-site visits to other hotels, alot of their co-ordinators aren't tat patient & friendly lilke her. Thats y we chose MM.

Didnt noe MM now uses "Eau D'orange Verte (by Hermes Paris)" for their toiletries wor...

Take a short window shopping at Marina Sq & Suntec...planning for Waraku pasta for dinner...the queue was super long...then we made a "Very Sinful" decision...tat is...

to proceed to Esplanade to "Ta Bao" dinner back to our hotel since we have a dining table...=p

Year 2009

Another year has passed...
Goodbye to 2008!!!
Not sure if 2009 is gonna b smooth. Too much of news on negative GDP growth. financial turmoil etc etc etc....Hai....

Year 2008 has been a busy year for me..but honestly, recall, i really dun noe wat i hv been busy with...perhaps i shld read my past blogs to recall abit...or i m getting old liao??

Well...new year new resolutions!!!
I shall not procrastinate anymore. Get my butts off to do wat i shld do....
Another wish i have for Year 2009, tat is may the journey ahead for HB in 2009 to be smooth & flowy... =)

Mini multiply gathering

Its another multiply gathering at Hazel house =) shld be the last mini luncheon we held for Candy before she goes to US with her hb in Jan09 & of cos mini Xmas gift exchange.

I m preparing honey baked wings for the gathering...Theresa bought sardine puff. I specially ordered potato...hehehe) & Hazel prepared canapes & her mum made us some Popiah (we are gg to wrap it ourselves. A popiah wraping session....so cool huh...making our own popiahs...whahaha

Vivan is enjoying making popiah for us......haha...

Nightmare~~~Nearly Robbed

Had a real terrible experience earlier. Met my cousin Joey for dinner. Supposed to be a pre birthday celebration - dinner treat for her..since she was having a wisedom toothache, decided to postpone & head to geylang for some porridge to soothe her toothache...
Y we chose geylang, cos we arrange to meet at aunty hse (near paya lebar)...& nearest eating plc for a quick dinner at this 9+pm hr wld be geylang lor....

As usual, we sat down & ordered out food, finished & chit chatting...I usually wld not leave my bag on another seat next to me. Didnt noe y i stupidly left my bag on the stool which is nearest next to me...but i had the instinct i didnt feel safe & somehow was too carried away with our conversation & left the instinct at the back of my mind...
I had noticed this guy who was sitting right behind us. he was lying on the table & tot prolly he is 1 of the staff at the stall resting or something.....didnt bother too much....After awhile, Joey saw the guy walking too closely behind me & bending dwn almost to snatch my bag which I had left very near me..& he just grabbed & ran....
Immd Joey stood up & chase him. I chased too...& screamed..."抢劫!!抢劫!! (means robbery!!)"
I reeaally screamed my lungs out..hoping some passerby wld help...
After a short chase, the robber actually ran pass another coffee shop & thank god...some gd enuff young guys in the coffee shop heard me & gave a chase too...After a 50-100m, these young guys who gave chase manage to snatch my bag back & returned to me....Nothing was lost!!! Damn Heng lor..!!!!

Golly!!! We had nv encountered such experience in my life...Joey & I were horrified....we nv believed this kind of things will happen to us!!! best part... my hp was in my bag & Joey has a habit of not bringing handbag & alwas leaving her hp & wallet on the dining table... we couldnt even use any hp to make police report.....Everything was jus toooo fast for us to react ...Luckily, the coffee shop aunties heard my screams & kept her hp & wallet for her...returned to her when we went back.....Thank god!!!! we got back our stuff & no one was hurt....
We both agreed we will REEAAALLLY AVOID GEYLANG for the longest period....!!! Its just toooo complicated....& rowdy.... Giving 2nd tots, we shld not have chased....If he had lead us to more deserted lanes there wld b no one to help us & w/o our hps by our side....& if he had accomplices....things wld not be the same...we could have our lives endangered.....Sometimes its better to forgo wat u have in your "stolen handbag" to protect your lifes...!!!!

& Never ever leave your handbag on the seat next to you....alwas leave it on ur lap or hug tightly to it!!!!!

Was msning Ah quek this afternoon, cos i met him at Vivo city on friday nite. Surprised to see each other...LOL

sharing him if i should buy Twilight books, surfed net last nite & found out there r 4 books altogether. & the highlights attracted me...Ah quek said he finished all 4 books (Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn)...i was like -__-

u read this kinda of books 1 meh??..hahaha....Well, he didnt actually, cos he bought the set for his ex gf & tats y he read them as well....LOL

Okie....my turn...went to bug hb again...cos today we had planned not to go shopping & wanted to stay home..he agreed to bring me to Kino to get the books...YaY..!!! he is the best...whahhaa!!!

When i arrived at Kino, there is a huge crowd of teenage girls & young adults around the books. I managed to grab a set, but then some came in hardcover & paper cover. Was a little disappointed. Some titles are left with 2 books. Not much to choose from. & u noe paper cover seems flimsy....

HB came & tapped me on the shoulder...& he carried the whole set of hardcover. ($149.80)...Double the price of papercover ( $80) wor.... He said its ok..cos these set of books are meant to read & keep...& morever only 2 sets left on the shelf....20% disc..affordable lah...

At the cashier counter, the cashier said "This set is at 25% disc.." Cool!!! more savings...heehee....

Headed to Gammaphone to look for the soundtrack of Twilight...Damn disappointing lor....the staff said the soundtrack is not out yet...OMG!!! People are all downloading from internet oredi & u tell me its not out yet...no wonder there is so much piracy....these soundtracks should hit the store when the movie is released...hai....

Nvm....at least i manage to get my set of Twilight Saga....heehee

Okies....gtg now...my twilight is waiting for me...bedtime stories... =)

Went to Terrance & Huiling's son's 1 year old birthday cum housewarming at Fernvale...Omg!!!

Is really too far for me....

Shopped at Vivo city while waiting for our movie Twilight.

Managed to get another blouse ...whahaha....

Romance between human & vampire....halfway thru the movie, oredi whispering to hb, "m gg to get their books at Kino. believed the book is gonna to be better.....

more therapy retreat...

met at Vivo for a quick dinner & continued with "Ahhheemmm....my shopping therapy retreat!!"

Did not manage to get anything the last 2 shopping trips i went...decided to try some luck today...

& yes yes!!! finally i manage to get something today....

Only managed to shop at 1-2 shops...u noe friday nite shops closes like 9+pm....nvm...gonna cont tml...hiak hiak hiak....

8th Year

To b precise, our annivesary falls on a Tuesday this year...tat is the 9th. Hb needs to go for class on tuesday, we decided to bring forward our little celebration a day earlier & lucky us, today is a holiday over the long weekend...

This will be the 8th year since we have been together & of cos 5th year anniversary since we are lawfully husband & wife....

Since we just returned from our Bali holiday, which burnt a small hole in HB's pocket, i shall not bug him for a pressie..."what a considerate wife i m...!!! LOL

Continued with more shopping therapy at Suntec, Marina Square. But, got nothing out of it...i did a few fittings but somehow either, cutting not too rite...or mayb fashion were mainly for Xmas.

After continuous 2 days of shopping, dragged our tired feet to Central for our humble dinner celebration...

I have cravings for good cuts of steaks....

Heard from Huiling. "Just Steak" at Riverwalk served very good steaks. So we went there.U noe wat happened??? The restuarant actually CLOSED down..!!! OMG!!!

Luckily i did some backup research a couple of days back...hur hur hur...change venue to Fine cuts @ Central basement.

Hmm....this place of cos does not have high class restuarant ambience, but i dun mind. so long as they serve quality steaks i m satisfied....I dun need high class restuarant which serve lousy food....kekekeke

After some recommendations by the staff, I ordered a US black angus steak & hb was pondering if he shld order US Kobe ribeye & a little setback by the price...whahaha...

Black angus cost like $9.50/gm & his Kobe cost like $23.50/gm (3X more pricey)

After settling at our table & ordered wines, took a pic of this which i find it quite cool...they explained different beef cuts which i think many of us wouldnt know...haha....or rather signature potrait of their eating place...

Our steak arrived after 8-10mins...

Based on picture of the steaks, u cannot tell the difference....hahaha...to b honest, i think the black angus & kobe ribeye is world of apart comparing the texture. Of cos the price really tells...hahaha
Black angus does melts in your mouth, is juicy & chewy. much better than any other steaks which i had tasted b4.... but when it comes to Kobe ribeye. think cannot b compared.
Kobe has more marbling than black angus. & its blends & melts very well in your mouth. The chewyness & juiceness makes u not wanting to swallow the bites in your mouth...Pefectly, heavenly..!!!

& here r the cost damages...

We are totally satisfied even though of the damages done. Its really quality steak we have ever tasted before...=)

Before ending my blog entry, hmm...after such a long marathon in our relationship, things had turned well. there r lots of ups & downs in life which we both went through. Occasional tiffs are unavoided...we managed to solve them when it comes along....

Shopping Therapy

I seriously need some therapy retreat..tat is SHOPPING!!!!

whahaha....jus realised i hvn really been shopping much for clothes...prolly jus bought some bags from HK...

the rest of the mths...i hvn been really buying clothes or so...seem terribly packed for most weekends which i oso cannot explained why....

Its long weekend...shall make full use of these 3 days...whahaha

Christmas is just round the corner. There shld b lots of sale gg on...Yippee!!!

Another drama marathon

Its another drama marathon...heehee....

Spent almost the whole week watching this...40 episodes...OMG!!!!

I really luv HK drama...especially watching online the original tone in cantonese...Its much much more entertaining than in mandarin...

I hardly swtich on the cable tv in my room...glued to my lappie for these online drama marathon...alrighty....i think shld put to a stop for awhile...back to reading more books....

Its super long weekend...shall go for some shopping therapy with hb...YAY!!!!

Im sick....

Had been sick since my 2nd day in Bali...but not tat serious....hee...
it all started with a sore throat, then it subsided, lots of phlegm...dranks tons of fruit juice & vit c but no effect...omg!!!
Last weekend started to hv diarrhoea...running to the loo....arrghh....went to western doc near my house...with some med prescribed....doc said "Virus in stomach..." -__-

Diarrhoea finally subsided too...kekeke...but dun no wat happen arh...after dinner, had some indigestion & puked all dinner out...servere nausea...zzzz early...

Tot i recovered so went to office...who noes...after an hour or so....stomach started to give me signals again...nausea came back...cannot take it liao...head to c my chinese doc whom I hv been seeing for years...actually i hate bitter chinese med tats y i din go to her....heehee...
heatiness in stomach & slight fever....but i dun feel it leh....

okok...enuff of sick rants...time to take last med & koonzzz soon....

Bali Trip

Im back from my Bali Trip (13th Nov-17-Nov)
Hmm...Bali is a gd place for water sports, but i didnt plan for the sports...& also a gd place for spa & massage.i feel its much cheaper compared to batam...kekeke

Oh...i mus say...travelling in SIA is great.....the food is good...wonder if they alwas served meals when i m extremely hungry...tats y food taste so gd...but i think their standards of food has improved compared to when i 1st board on SIA...hahaha...

Its only a 2hr30min flight & time seem to pass sooo fast...

Before boarding the plane, @ the entrance of the plane, u can collect loads of papers to kill time.

they hv a wide selection of nitendo games too although are very old. Can u imagine "street fighter" Oh boy, i played this when i was a teenager 10yrs ago...heeee....well..better than nothing.

Loads of movies, videos for u to select & watch...

they are also serving food & drinks

Of cos the price not cheap arh....but to compare with last min bookings...i think reasonable lah...Just simply whack!!!! hur hur hur....

HB chose Baked chicken& I chose indonesion fish (Salmon fish wor...) or of the my favourite dessert, almond jelly...whahaha

If i hv budgets for planes, will definately choose SIA again... =)

Greetings from Terminal 2, now waiting at boarding gate to board the plane to Bali..!!
OMG!!! didnt prepare much for the trip...oredi mentioned its suchhhh a rush trip....

Can't believe I actually book my tickets with SIA...=p well, i did check on other airlines & seem not much diff from SIA. prolly by a diff of $100++. Has been 10yrs since i board on SIA again...whahaha....

Mel's Birthday

Celebrated Mel's birthday with Alicia & hb at Hanabi Odeon Tower.... Food wise, ok lah...variety not bad...if u hv not eaten b4, u may wanna patronise them...=)

Bought Mel a strawberry shortcake, hardly eat cakes... ZR alwas wanna a strawberry shortcake for her birthday. eaten b4...not bad arh...oh yes...its from Four leave cake shop ya... =p

Cam whoring session again... heeee....

Well, Mel is older by another year...hur hur hur...mayb all his wishes & dreams come true... =)
